Clubs and their coaches told us that they would benefit from an experienced coach to offer tailored mentoring and coaching experiences in-house. The West Riding FA Club Mentor programme does exactly that! 

Clubs are encouraged to self-assess their own coaching/mentoring needs and West Riding FA can then provide an experienced Coach Mentor to design and deliver a bespoke intervention to address their needs.

Lee Ashforth, Senior Football Development Officer at West Riding FA, said: “Our Club Mentor Programme last season was a huge success, with over 200 hours delivered to clubs. This season, coaches have these hours added to their profiles as CPD hours and this is a real incentive for clubs to continue to develop the coaches, which will have a positive effect on the players they are coaching.”
