West Riding FA is delighted to announce that NINE FA Referee Courses are now available for bookings, providing the perfect opportunity for anybody interested in refereeing to get involved. 

Please ensure that you complete all pre- course requisites (this MUST be under the FAN number of the person doing the course) and that you can attend all three days of the course before booking on. 

When booking, please ensure that the booking name is the person doing the course. If the person doing the course is U18, here is a link on how to add an email to their FAN number U18 email.

Lee Ashforth, West Riding FA Senior Football Development Officer, said: “In the 2022-23 season, I have been delighted to organise 17 Referee Courses, over many different areas of the county, with several courses that ran at grassroots clubs creating revenue for the facilities. 

“352 new Trainee Referees attended these courses over the season and enabled West Riding FA to have over 1,000 Referees registered to our County. To ensure I offer the same opportunities to anyone who wishes to start refereeing I have arranged for an initial 9 courses across the new season and I am hopeful that I will be arranging several more into the next! 

“The courses keep filling so the desire for refereeing is high and I have really enjoyed setting people up on their refereeing pathway. As a County FA, the continued development of referees and the progression and support we can offer is something we take pride in.
