Are you passionate about football and inclusion? Do you have the skills and expertise to shape the future of grassroots football in West Yorkshire? West Riding FA is excited to announce a unique opportunity for talented and driven individuals to apply for the role of Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG) Member.
As an IAG Member, you’ll play a vital role to support West Riding FA with embedding inclusion into their everyday business, contributing to the development and success of grassroots football across the region. We’re looking for diverse candidates with a wide range of professional skills and experiences who can bring fresh perspectives and independent judgment to the group.
About the role
The successful applicant will serve as an ambassador for West Riding FA, ensuring that the group maintains a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the highest standards of governance. This is a voluntary position with a time commitment of approximately 6 meetings per year. No prior experience in football administration is necessary, but a passion for the sport and community is essential.
What the role involves
At the heart of the IAG's mission is the development of inclusive policies and practices to foster accessible opportunities and engage all segments of our community in football at the grassroots level. Specifically, the IAG:
- Facilitates the exchange of ideas and best practices.
- Contributes to the formulation of strategies and policies promoting diversity and inclusion in football participation.
- Collaborates with networks and partnerships to enhance participation across all communities.
- Works towards practical solutions to inclusion challenges.
