The West Riding FA is delighted to announce the appointment of two new members to our Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG), Sandeep Sandhu and Yasmin Senior. Their unique perspectives, expertise, and passion for creating an inclusive football environment promise to enhance the IAG’s efforts in promoting diversity and equality across the region.

Sandeep Sandhu

Sandeep brings valuable legal expertise, advocacy for equality, and a deep passion for football to the West Riding FA Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG). As a Senior Associate at Clarion, she has championed diversity within the legal profession and has extensive experience in supporting individuals through complex legal matters. Her previous role with the Midlands Asian Lawyers Association highlights her commitment to networking, career development, and community engagement. A dedicated Leeds United fan, Sandeep is passionate about ensuring fair treatment in football and increasing participation among historically underrepresented groups, making her a strong voice for inclusion within West Riding FA.

Yasmin Senior

Yasmin brings a wealth of experience in diversity, inclusion, and football development to the West Riding FA Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG). With over 16 years in the sports industry, she has worked across coaching, sport development, and governance, championing equitable opportunities within further education sport through her role at AoC Sport. Her extensive background in football, from playing at Tier 3 with Bradford City to coaching and volunteering within the county, gives her a deep understanding of the game at all levels. Yasmin’s passion for representation and diversity of thought, alongside her involvement in initiatives like the Sporting Equals Leader Board Academy, ensures she is well-equipped to support West Riding FA in driving meaningful change and fostering an inclusive football environment.

Building a Stronger IAG

The Inclusion Advisory Group plays a vital role in guiding the West Riding FA’s strategy to embed diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of the game. With the addition of Sandeep and Yasmin, we continue to strengthen the group’s capacity to address challenges, seize opportunities, and ensure football in West Riding is representative of the communities we serve.

We are excited about the contributions Sandeep and Yasmin will bring as we build on the IAG’s great work to date. Their perspectives will not only enhance our understanding of the challenges faced by different groups but also help us develop practical and impactful solutions.
