West Riding FA is excited to invite grassroots coaches to our Coach Development Group Three session. This workshop will provide invaluable guidance on designing a structured 6-week training programme that fosters the holistic development of players across all aspects of the game.
Coaches attending will gain insights into building a framework that seamlessly incorporates technical, tactical, physical, and psychological elements, ensuring their training plans are well-rounded and tailored to the needs of grassroots footballers.
What to Expect
This interactive session will focus on key areas essential for developing effective training programmes, including:
• Identifying player needs at both the foundation (ages 5-11) and youth development (ages 12-16) phases.
• Balancing individual development with team strategies.
• Incorporating fun and engaging drills while maintaining structured learning outcomes.
• Using feedback and evaluation to refine and adapt training plans.
• Creating a flexible but structured weekly schedule that aligns with match cycles and seasonal goals.
