U18 County Representative Team - Players Wanted
U18 COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE TEAM – PLAYERS WANTED
The team competes in the FA County Youth Cup and the Northern Counties Competition.
Representative Football is an important part of the game in the County and it’s no small honour to be called up to play for West Riding.
The FA County Youth Cup is a competition run by the FA nationally. Launched in the 1944-45 season, the competition functions to provide young players (16yrs – 18yrs) who had not yet signed with a professional football club, with competitive representative football. The FA County Youth Cup is contested by County Football Associations across England.
The Northern Counties Competition is a competition organised by the County Football Associations in the North of England and is contested for by the respective Northern County Football Associations.
Essentially, a representative team is made up of the best players in the county. It acts as a chance for footballers who are not under professional contracts to test themselves against players from other counties and showcase their skills on a national stage.
If you would like to play for the U18 County Representative team or nominate someone to play please contact Karl Parkin on nextgenerationfootball@live.co.uk.
