This session will provide you with all the latest hints and tips to get your pitches winter-proofed, as well as helping you deal with the ever-present issues surrounding decompaction and drainage. Our expert speakers include Ian Mather-Brewster, Key Account Manager (ECB) with the Grounds & Natural Turf Improvement Programme, Julien Morris, member of the Grounds & Natural Turf Improvement Programme team, and GMA Consultant, Alex Vickers.

The webinar will look at the effects of lockdown, highlighting the importance of carrying out in-season maintenance and planning a renovation programme. It also address the benefits of developing a deeper understanding of soils and drainage.

Topics to be covered include:

• Playing season maintenance – hand forking, surface repairs, aeration, tractor mounted / pedestrian slitters and other maintenance tips 
• End of season renovation – scarification, de-compaction (linear deep tine) and top dressing 
• Drainage – primary drainage, pipe systems, secondary drainage, sand slits and gravel banding 
• The importance of maintenance systems and their cost implications
