The Football Foundation provide grants for the purchase of new or replacement pairs of goalposts for use within community grassroots football. These can be 11v11, 9v9, Mini-Soccer and Futsal goals.
The maximum grant you can apply for will depend on the size of goalposts you are purchasing:
- For 11v11 goals (Adult/Youth) there is a maximum grant of £1,200 per set of goalposts (or 75% grant up to the maximum grant value) – based on a recommended purchase price of £1,600 including carriage (but excluding VAT).
- For 9v9 goals (2.13m x 4.88m) there is a maximum grant of £900 per set of goalposts (or 75% grant up to the maximum grant value) – based on a recommended purchase price of £1,200 including carriage (but excluding VAT).
- For 7v7 / 5v5 goals (1.83m x 3.66m) there is a maximum grant of £900 per set of goalposts (or 75% grant up to the maximum grant value) – based on a recommended purchase price of £1,200 including carriage (but excluding VAT).
- For Futsal goals (2m x 3m) there is a maximum grant of £600 per set of goalposts (or 75% grant up to the maximum grant value) – based on a recommended purchase price of £800 included carriage (but excluding VAT).
If you’re not able to reclaim the VAT, this should be included in your total project cost. The grant amount will be adjusted accordingly.
You would need to identify the size of goalposts you wish to purchase from the approved list of suppliers and submit the online application form detailing the preferred chosen supplier, goalpost type, quantity and whether VAT is applicable.
