Liam Fox wins national Grassroots Coach of the Year Award!
The National Grassroots Awards were held on Sunday at the FA Community Shield at Wembley and amongst the winners was Liam Fox, a coach from Monk Fryston United, West Riding, who was one of our local winners!
Liam was presented with the award by Gareth Southgate at Wembley, and was also in the company of England legends John Barnes, Rachel Yankey, Sue Smith, Martin Keown and World Cup Winner Sir Geoff Hurst.
Head of Football Development, Jo de Tute, said: "Massive congratulations to Liam on such a fantastic achievement - National Grassroots Coach of the Year - Male Pathway and it’s very well deserved.
"To be selected as National winner amongst all of the other County FA winners is a great achievement and one that I hope Liam is very proud of, I know we certainly are.
"Volunteers are the lifeblood of grassroots football and without Liam and the thousands of other volunteers across our County, we would not be seeing the growth of leagues, clubs, teams and players participating in football across West Riding. We are really proud of each and every one of our volunteers and as a County FA are here to support them throughout their journey.
Well done again, Liam!"
