West Riding FA Encourages Clubs and Leagues to Plan for Ramadan 2025
As the football season comes to a close and we gear up for next season, West Riding FA extends a proactive invitation to all clubs and leagues to conscientiously incorporate preparations for Ramadan 2025 into their schedules.
Understanding the significance of this holy month for our Muslim players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters, we aim to facilitate an environment that respects and accommodates their religious observances.
Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community, holds deep spiritual meaning for millions of Muslims worldwide.
In 2025, Ramadan is anticipated to commence on Saturday, March 1st, and conclude on March 30th, depending upon the sighting of the moon. This means that Eid will be between 29th March and 2nd April, again depending on the sighting of the moon.
To assist clubs and leagues in effectively planning for this period, West Riding FA offers a comprehensive Ramadan Guide.
This resource equips football organisations with valuable insights and practical strategies to ensure the seamless integration of Ramadan observances into training sessions, match schedules, and overall operations.
By proactively addressing the implications of Ramadan within the football community, we reaffirm our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respect for all faiths. West Riding FA invites clubs and leagues to access our Ramadan Guide and utilise its resources to facilitate a positive and inclusive experience for everyone involved in the beautiful game.
Together, let us celebrate the richness of diversity within football and embrace the opportunity to learn, grow, and unite through understanding and mutual respect.
